July 2003- July 2005 worked at Liberty Solicitors, London for two years. Took charge of the translation and documentary work for the firm’s judicial review case at London High Court and was permanent legal counsel of the largest partner of Shandong Chenming Paper Holdings in England.
Returned to China in 2006, worked in Beijing Gonghe Law Firm (FDI, M&A) and afterwards, Lovells International Law Firm (international intellectual property right)
Pei Lei has participated in the projects like the strategic investment of Hua Xia Bank and Deutsche Bank, international technique transfer of General Electric (transportation), cooperation program of Real Madrid Football Club and Citic Guoan Football Club, land dispute between C.Steinweg Logistics (far east) and Shanghai Waigaoqiao Management Committee, syndicated loan of Guizhou Jinfeng Gold Mine and Chartered Bank, China Construction Bank etc, Mittal Steel Group’s acquisition of Baotou Steel Company, disposal of distressed assets of BOC, share purchase transaction of Spain Abengoa Group and Shenzhen Airport, restructuring of distressed assets of Tsinghua Unisplendour Co., Ltd, syndicated loan of State Development and Investment Corporation, cooperation project of China Daily Website, and cooperation project between General Administration of Sport of China and Nike Corporation etc.
In addition, Pei Lei also participated in the IP litigations of Italian Fiat, French Hennessey XO, Apple Corporation etc, and strategic protection of brands like “Grammy”, “iPod”, “iPhone” and “Henessy” etc. He also published articles in “Legal Risk Observer”, “World Intellectual Property” and joined writing of the Overseas Right Protection Handbook for Chinese Enterprises of Ministry of Commerce.
